Opening day of the Redline Derby Racing Fantasy League is here! It’s time to pick your cars, scout the competition, crunch some numbers, and do some racing! The first race in Sunday, April 11.
How it works
This fantasy league is simple. You add the Hot Wheels you want on your team to your garage. Once a week I’ll race every car and you’ll get points based on how well they do. If you win, you get points. If you lose, you don’t. At the end of the 10-week season, the player with the most points wins! Sign-up now and play for free
Why play?
Why not? If you collect Hot Wheels, like toys, like cars, or maybe you get a thrill out of statistics and probablility…either way, the fantasy league can be fun for everyone. It’s free to play and it’s safe for all ages. You can get as serious as you want, swapping out cars weekly to keep your team stacked, or you can play casually.
Don’t call it virtual racing
The fantasy league gives Hot Wheels fans a chance to geek out about cars when meeting in person is geographically complicated. I don’t like to call it “virtual racing” because I will be racing the actual cars, but everything is handled on-line through the Redline Derby Racing web site. If you haven’t yet, the Forum is FULL of great racing discussion that will teach you how to pick cars for your fantasy league garage.
The fantasy league is also great if you’re a Hot Wheels collector that doesn’t otherwise play with your cars. Yeah, cars look great on the shelf and they stay nice in the box, but they’re toys. You might keep them packaged up, but I’ll take them out and put them through their paces.
So lets go racing!
