A Good Source for Lead Weight

FatMike Thursday, 8/28/2014

I'm not sure what everybody uses to add weight to their cars but I found these guys to be great. RotoMetals.com has lead wire in several diameters. I bought a roll of 5/16 for my cubscouts pinewood derby cars. When I started playing with HW I used it there too. RotoMetals even has some lead in ribbons, my next order I might have to try some of that. I thought someone might want to check them out.                                                                                                      Hope this helps, FatMike

They might work well also :)

  • I've used the wheel weights on pinewood derby cars. They worked fine except it took so many to bring them up to the 5oz limit. — FatMike

bought a rolled up strip of 1/16" thick lead roof flashing... cuts easy with snips / scis. ... cut to shape of the floor or base, multi layers, you can make lead seats, rear deck, fill engine blocks, trunks...easy to make fit your needs...

 25 lbs for $10.00.... cool !
