I had to google 427 side oiler. You can tell I'm not a car guy in real life. So a 427 is a Ford engine but this is a Chevelle. I'm confused but that's not saying much.
According to Wikipedia, the '70 Chevelle had these engine sizes as options:
230 cu in (3.8 L) Chevrolet I6
250 cu in (4.1 L) Chevrolet I6
307 cu in (5.0 L) Small-Block V8
327 cu in (5.4 L) Small-Block V8
350 cu in (5.7 L) Small-Block V8
