Drag Track Timer/Finish Line Connector

I'm adding some track sections to my Drag Track.  My question is the connector used to plug the timer/finish line into the head unit is it the same as the connector for a phone jack.  If so will a phone extension cord work?

We'll so far I've figured out the cable is either a 6 pin RJ-11 or RJ-14 and either one will work with a 6P4C connector.  Little more research and should get closer to an answer.  Anyone else been down this road before?
