ESTATE SALE FTE AND T HUNT SCORE
This was a Hot Wheel collector's dream. My wife found this estate sale on Craig's List about an hour before I had to go to work on Saturday. So we rushed there and I spent about a half hour looking through Treasure Hunts (those pics will come later). On Sunday I got to go again, but this time I had more time and was able to go through a bunch of boxes and found some FTEs at 2 for $1.00.
I'll post the pictures of the Treasure Hunts I found and then some racing-quality cars like Ferraris and Shadow Jets as well later.

Who owned that estate, Mr Mattel? Damn, that's a ton of cars! I could spend hours combing through those bins. And at that type of sale I wouldn't feel like a weirdo like I do when I comb through the bins at the grocery store.
I need to be a bit more proactive in looking for cars around here. I just don't think about it until I see one of you guys post a big score and then I get jealous. One weekend I need to do a Hot Wheels buying tour and just go from store to store in one afternoon...like a pub crawl (every TH found, you take a drink). Ha!
The sale must not have been thoroughly advertised because there really weren't a ton of collectors there like I thought there might be. Because there are still a ton of Hot Wheels left after the first two days, I believe there will be a phase two of this sale within 2 to 3 weeks. I've already got seattlegreyy on the hook for that one. I wish all you guys could somehow get up here for the coming Hot Wheel extravaganza
*ALSO: if you see anything you would really like to have, PM me. I would be willing to trade a few doubles and even sell some T-Hunts for what I paid for them.
Because I ended up spending a bit more than I originally planned, I'm gonna end up putting at least half the T-Hunts on eBay. I'd like to get an average of $5 per car (what I paid) if possible. *Excluding the 442s (of course ) and the Super T-Hunt and Dairy Deliveries.
Amazing! I use an android app called CraigsNotification. As soon as someone posts anything with the term hot wheels on Craigs List, I get a notification on my phone for the areas I want it to track. But I have NEVER run across anything like this. I would be in heaven.
The only bad part of the app is that if you have a HOT car to sell with Wheels or a HOT Plate and chrome WHEELS at a garage sell, it picks up on those as well.
Uh oh. You found a Bugatti FTE! I know GspeedR is going to be jealous of that score...
