Very cool! Saw some stuff from Adafruit. Love that place. Did you use the plans from Miscjunk, somewhere else or just designing your own? Looks like it's going to turn out awesome!

That's looking pretty awesome!

I'm going to NYC Maker Fare this weekend, and I'm hoping to come up with a good way to create a timing system for my track as well :) Arduino will be there, so I'm sure I'll be able to come home with the stuff I'll need.

ya that is the pinewood derby timer setup from miscjunk

I added adjustability wher i could by using adjustable painter poles to hold up the run, and used shower stools with adjustable legs for the board intersections, also used cat 5 blocks to allow the start gate circuit switch to be an adjustable length end to end.  The whole thing should be somewhat portable as well
