Ole Beaters

Preacher Monday, 10/29/2012

Sometimes we get all excited about the latest and greatest that comes out in the stores...but what about those cars of years ago? I go to second hand stores a good bit look for deals (a.k. Thrift Stores) and you can find "Beaters" all day long. You know...the cars that have been played with really hard, paint chipped, etc. etc. Just wondering has anyone here got any, and are there any good racers?

The ones I've found at thrift store usually have their axles bent which is not what makes a good race car.

Let me clarify...finding an "Ole Beater" and doing some fixing up, and modding. Taking a piece of junk that others would have thrown away, and fixing it into a Real Race Car! That's what I was meaning.

One word..."Sleeper"...yeah it looks like junk, but runs like lightning!

I do have a couple of those, unfortunately they're about as fast as the other race cars I've built.
