What is the fastest 2012 mainline Hot Wheels casting?

The Hypertruck LOOKS like it should be fast, but the non-FTE FTE2 wheels immediately throw red flags into the air. FTE2s are terrible compared to FTE1s... I can only imagine how bad a non-FTE would be with them wheels...

Like I said before mines really fast, its too bad that hot wheels aren't very consistent with their models. Two people can buy the exact same car and although nothing seems to really different about them, they can preform so much differently.

Honestly, I think its more about the track and the competition at said track then the cars themselves. I've built a bunch of cars which were really fast on my track and then sent them off to mail-in events and they performed poorly. Then, if i'm lucky enough to be a host track, I get the car back and realize that the car didn't lose any speed... the competition is just faster!

So its quite possible that your Hypertruck is equally as fast as everyone elses, but its competition isn't as tough OR perhaps the truck performs better on a shorter track versus a longer one.

From what i've seen, identical cars usually perform close to the same as long as neither of them are a dud. Of course there are exceptions, but im talking about an average.

I've found that there are 3 main factors/criteria for gauging almost worthless if the wheels won't spin to their potential.

I agree. It's all about physics once you find a car that can roll freely. Science FTW!!
