I'm in for 2. And unlike some of the others no shopping needed.

Two spots please, no shopping needed either, using the Torino and the Charger.

I recently received a message stating that I hadn't responded to their request to enter the event. My events are unlimited entries so I don't usually respond. And from past experience even if I do people pull out for any and all sorts or reasons. If you want to enter then enter. If not then don't. It's all good.

Count me in for 2

Hi Thomas,

I did comment on FB while overseas, I would try and enter, so thought I should follow it up here. I have been under the pump of late, first time been on here for a bit, I need to get myself sorted!

I have read all the entries and comments, so wow, ok, Pretty much a clean slate of what can be done!!!  I already have castings, so now I need to get moving asap, to produce, hopefully a couple of cars to send asap, and support your event.

For any newer people reading, I would rate events held by this organiser  as AAA+ and have no hestitation in recommending.

Cheers Marc D

  • You are a veteran racer with much experience in the game and your opinion has value to those reading.....as a rookie racer I can say that I have had the same positive results with this race host. — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
  • Why thank you for the kind words DCR, appreciated. And good luck in racing, cheers. — CutRock_R_Marc_D

@#! this is tempting. Never entered a race and just modified my first 4 cars this week but curious to see how terribly I can do. lol

Hey, FPD. Just a suggestion based on published/casted names from Mattel. HW makes three different '69 Chevelles. The one you have pictured in your description is the '69 Chevelle SS 396. Here is what the HW Wiki shows for all three different castings in regards to name. Perhaps clarify your three car limitation to ensure everyone thinking Chevelle submits the correct one?

  • The host posted a picture of the three castings for the event. — Uncle_Elvis
  • Which I mentioned. The issue is the name of the casting has changed from '69 Chevelle when it was released as a New Model in 2008, to now saying '69 Chevelle SS 396. Attention to detail matters. — BadWoolRacing
  • Could just be me but, I did not see the SS or Xraycer listed as options. — MainelyDiecastRacing

To those that say these low rider casting won't work. I think I've build a couple good contenders. A little fine tuning and they will be ready to ship out. Especially fond of the Torino as a Gasser.

Hey FPD, Thomas,

My cars are now in the post, express! Fingers crossed all travels well!

As tough as it has been to find the time, trying to catch up round here, and other hiccups, I have to say I really enjoyed the challenge of your choice of castings and rules. Frustrating many times through the build journey, but good to think and test, and work through (as many) issues as I could.

I was trying to find the missing speed right up until I had to box. Look forward to another well run event from your track!

All the best, cheers

  • Always good to have you at Boomtown Marc. You got just as good a shot as any. — FPD_Racing
  • Very frustrated with the post at the moment. Paid for express, item should have been there by now. Tracking shows flight departed on the 11th, no other tracking after that. I have raised an issue with AusPOst, so, sighs have to see how it goes. Cheers Marc — CutRock_R_Marc_D
