Race format and scoring

This will be a timed event. Each car will get one run in each lane and the top half of the field will advance to the next round. When the field is down to the final 4 each car will get two runs in each lane. Car with the fastest time of the final two cars remaining will be the winner.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

This is a great idea for a race! It opens things up to castings other than HW that have potential to be fast. Are the lanes on your track wider than HW orange track?

I'll take 1 spot.

People asking about what would and wouldn't  qualify for a Zoom In chassis here are some examples.

WOULD NOT QUALIFY

Would Qualify. has to have an actual car or truck body that fits onto the base.

  • My heavyweight abomination on top. I feel personally attacked — RLoRacing
  • Hey! I have finally done something as a positive example — Uncle_Elvis
  • Nothing wrong with any of these for certain contests just trying to explain I’m looking for actual cars that fit on the chassis. — BlueLineRacing
  • The body can be a fantasy casting or any casting and can be stretched or widened to fit a long or wide chassis. Also allowed would be a custom made chassis as long as the body of the car fits on it and the added weight is hidden — BlueLineRacing
  • the 2 - Grey Zoom-In cars are actually Space ships from "The Jetsons" Cartoons Episode #336 Those are amazing looking futuristic cars built by one of the best :) LOL.....Thanks Brother this is what my confusion was. — RIVERA_RACING
  • THANK YOU — Mattman213
