Ferrari 458 Spider

RobertBcfc Thursday, 9/26/2019

Hi,

I’m on the lookout for one of these and can see that Hot Wheels made 6 different castings of them.  I wondered if anyone had experience of them, and if any particularly stand out in terms of speed?

Look forward to hearing from you

The fastest I have is the yellow one...never got the red one.

  • I like the yellow one, to me it’s the best looking of the 6 and I do tend to go for the older castings when approaching decisions like this. Has anyone ran the Asphalt Assault of HW Showroom castings of 2013? — RobertBcfc

I put that Ferrari squarely in the "average" category based on old fantasy league runnings. I didn't clock a lot of races with it but it wasn't horrible.

  • It is great looking though, I guess that’s what draws me to it. So far I’m leaning towards the yellow version but I didn’t know if any of the newer ones were dark horses? — RobertBcfc

I agree with Brian. Mine (red) is average. It can't seem to hold a candle to the top tier but its competitive. Now, the 458 Italia on the other hand, thats a great casting!

The Gold Medal Speed Ferrari F40 with the gold lace wheels is the King of the Ferrari's

  • If we're talking fast Ferraris, then I'd have to cast a vote for the Testarossa too.  — redlinederby

Thanks guys for all your feedback - I’m going yellow.

In terms of my own fastest Ferraris:

1) Testsrossa (Gold Medal Speed)

2) 512M (Silver)

3 F40 (Gold)

It’s really tight between the Speed Bump FTE and the Testarossa at the fast end of my cars (The Bump usually sneaks it though)

Really appreciated
