Heading into 2018...new site, more fun
As we enter the last days of 2017, I first off want to tell everyone Thank You for another fun year here at Redline Derby Racing. I know things slowed a bit this year but there has been a lot of great racing across the board. And a special shoutout to David "LeagueOfSpeed" Currin for his efforts this year in helping keep the RLD racing torch burning. From building new tracks at his home, to hosting, to picking up some lead duties on the site...I know we all appreciate the work.
I hope everyone has a very safe and fun December and year-end holidays. I know we'll all be busy but I hope you find some time to race with friends and family...and maybe mail in a car to the tournaments happening this month and next.
But heading into 2018, I have one goal: Site redesign gets launched
I know it has been a long time coming but the end is near and my eye is on the prize. I hope to finish things up this month since I'll have some extra at-home time and then get things out the door in January. That's my goal.
If all goes to plan, the new site will lay the groundwork for new (and returning) features in the future...including the fantasy league. A few things to look forward to in the relaunch are image hosting for members, a track directory, event templates and a better mobile experience. Those few things should make it possible for future add-ons to happen more quickly.
So thanks again for another great year of diecast racing. 2018 will mark the 9th year of Redline Derby Racing and I know it's going to be a good one thanks to each and everyone of you. Cheers!

I'm glad to be back racing and hosting. I'll be away for a little while st the beginning of the year, working my butt off. But, I'll be back in the Spring with more races!
Brian, thank to you for all you do behind the scenes. Keeps this corner of the internet a good place to be.
That looks much better to me than this version of the site. It's like a fancier edition of the old site (which I always did like the layout of). I do think there is a big question remaining: Where is the fantasy league?
I'm just glad to belong to a community with a passion for Diecast Racing. If I had not found Diecast 64 I would not have seen the link to RLD...most likely wouldn't have built two (2) tracks...which was an absolute blast!!!...and not met and raced with the people here...so color me thankful for the experiences I've enjoyed closing in on the end of my rookie year. I also think I'm getting a handle on this modding thing :)
