Heading to DCR for the 4th Drags...sitting at 93g now...from 60g

  • I love those castings, the Cougar and Mustang as well and have been tossing the few I come across in a pile to build one day. Looks like a simple yet effective package! — Mattman213
  • There fun Builds and ya get to work off the metal/metal platform — LeagueofSpeed

Here is my first unfinished GUD for the Poppa Speed races. The base was laying around and I think it came from the Super Modified? Casting with the motor on the side of the body. I had to snap off and file the nerf bars on both sides. It already had the fats in the rear and the skinnies are off the Diaper Dragger. Just got lucky both have gold colored wheels. The motor is cast so it helps with adding weight but even at that it's only 20Gs without the nose. May have to make it out off a sinker to get close to the 45Gs.

  • The seat is a shelf stop cut down. May just add plastic strips to the front and sides for a body. — Dadvball
  • I havnt gotten to this class yet in my modding but kinda hope Im able because of the potential for some wild looking rides. Yours is no exception, looking cool!!! — Mattman213
  • Love it!!! — LeagueofSpeed

  • Dixie Gran Prix? Interesting little ride, JL? — Mattman213
  • 1969 Hot Wheels Gran Prix Series with Color Shifter Rears off two CS Vampyra's — LeagueofSpeed
  • Shelby Turbine — LeagueofSpeed
  • Woah I don't even recognize it as a Turbine. Crazy! — Mattman213

Matchbox M-ATV, similar to what I drove in Afghanistan

WOOHOO the F'nFifty is on deck for KOTM Qualifying race.  Thought I would have to wait a good bit longer to see it.  Fingers crossed.

Matt

  • Thanks for the pic! But you can RAM "IT" ! (Thats the name of my truck.) All the best, cheers. — CutRock_R_Marc_D
  • Is that your green Ram? If so, best of luck, should be fun stuff! — Mattman213
  • Good luck guys. I'll be cheering for the Redline guys — Mayfield41
  • Yep, I'm happy enough with the construction and build. Just still ways to go to in extracting the speed out of axles/wheels. The traffic will make life interesting! Should be fun, though I may need a missile attached on the back to keep up to you! — CutRock_R_Marc_D
  • Cheers and thanks Mayfield. — CutRock_R_Marc_D
  • Congrats to Mattman and CutRock_R_Marc_D. It was a great race! Best of luck to you Mattman in the KOTM tournament! — Secondhand_Speed
  • Nice truck mattman. Good luck in the tourney. — Mayfield41
  • That was awesome stuff and great competition. As much as I would love to have an easy win to get in, its WAY more fun to have a close race and come out on top. Good stuff. — Mattman213

Now that I'm getting settled in at my new place, I established a good working area, and this was my first product. 24/Seven, first generation metal body, and a simple metal chassis swap from a current Color Shifters one. It wasn't a perfect swap, but it rolls very well.

Also shaved the front splitter down so it won't scrub going down tracks. Doesn't seem to like my fat track setup, however, so it will be a downhill car for now.

Also on the block is a R-V-There Yet? in which I'm modifying the chassis to have a true rear axle on the 'car'.

Heading out to the Silverback Racing Invitational!

McLaren M6A restoration I've been working on for a few months.  My son came home from a friend's house with this!

Couple cars my wife and I made.  Hers is the teal-ish one.  It's called "Click".  It's named for Tom Magliozzi of NPR's "Car Talk".  It is designed to be a realistic version of the Dodge Dart named "Rusty" in the movie "Cars".  Rusty was voiced by Tom, or the "Click" half of "Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers".

Mine is the gasser/barn-find. We thought it would be fun to try modding the same model and see what we came up with, and how very differently they could turn out.  Oh!  Mine is called El Dardo de Chatarra (The Junk Dart).
