Redline Revival official entry thread
Thursday, December 31st, 2015Idea is to take a stock "well played with" original Redline Hotwheel and race them.
Here is my twist to the event... (sacrilege to some) DRILL IT, and you have to replace the wheels/axles. My idea is to take an original Redline and refresh the performance. FTE's, 5 spokes, black walls, you name it anything but the original bearing type wheels and axles. ALL racing and Grudge matches will be videoed...

...and it's kinda speedy :)
Oh, btw, I like the Pink Paint Penalty...nice touch!
Sign me up Chris. I know I've been bad about forgetting to get cars out to races lately but this one is very interesting so I'll get them out for sure for this one.
Nice prize! Real nice. Sad I don't have an entry for this one. Real sad.
- I'll send along the Bird as my entry into the Grudge Race. Anyone? — Nightstalker
- Oh yea, guess I'm in. — Nightstalker
- Good Ol' NJ grudge match! I'll run my Heavy Chevy against ya, Stalker! :) — 72_Chevy_C10
- Awesome... return of the Dirty Bird! Be great to see the champ back in action. — Traction-Event
- the nasty nightingale... baddest bird in brick ! — fordman
- Only car i own to have won a overall championship, and I have had it for 48 years. — Nightstalker
- OK, now explain Grudge Match. — Nightstalker
- Grudge match is just a race where one guy calls out another — 72_Chevy_C10
- Grudge match, as C-10 said, but I would assume it would be original redline vs a modified car. Bragging rights — Traction-Event
Cool! OK C-10, I'm willing to put up eather a 40 Ford coupe (Delta Sonic) or a 57 Bel Air ragtop (Johnny L)

Best 2 outta 3. Don't remember who sent me these cars and kinda hard to let em go. So, whatitbe?
Whoa, this is getting serious...the '57 is pretty Sweet. I'll take a look around and see what I have at home to put up!
- Oh, and 2 out of 3 sounds good...On TE's normal track, not the low and slow :) — 72_Chevy_C10
- starting to sound like a street race negotiation... love it — Traction-Event
- Yeah, I kinda feel like I'm on 'Street Outlaws" :) — 72_Chevy_C10
The stock Redline from 1967 should get a 1 carlength handicap over the modded Heavy Chevy. Just to even the playing field, it's only a carlength, right?
- The bird would need the longer drop to get the speed up to match the Chevy's FTE's — Nightstalker
If TE can come up with a way to launch them and give you a length, I'll do that, Stalker! (Now I feel like I'm on Pinks!)
- Or TE could a car length in front of the finish line and use the normal start gate? — 72_Chevy_C10
- yup — Nightstalker
- let me see what I can work up for you two... — Traction-Event
- drag tracks starting pegs under one cars front axle, rear of the other ? — fordman
(not to cut in on y'all... Sorry... But, I won't be entering this one...)
And now, back to your banter...
Lol
- Bummer! Too busy? — 72_Chevy_C10
- Doesn't anyone want a crack at the winner? — Nightstalker
- Maybe this should have it's own thread. — Nightstalker
- yeah, some things have come up. all is OK though. — CrzyTrkrDude
Here's what I'll put up...your choice, Stalker...

A Foose Firebird or a Studebaker pickup, both by M2...let me know!
And yeah, what Stalker said...we can't be the only ones grudge racing. Who's up for racing the winner...TE, Smitty? Or, does anyone else have any quick original redlines they would like to race?
- i was hoping FOTF would join in the grudge side of this event. I'll post some race bait shortly — Traction-Event
- Sweet! — 72_Chevy_C10
- I'm liking that Foose Firebird — Nightstalker
- Okay, Stalker, the bird is the word! It will go in the box! — 72_Chevy_C10
