  • 4 - 180 degree curves
  • 28' of Fat Track (14 pieces at 2')
  • 1 Bottleneck Finish (track piece which funneled Sizzlers through the lap counter)
  • 3D Botmaker Fat Track Start Gate
  • 3 individual track lanes at 8' per lane coming off Start Gate at 4' off the floor and connecting to 2' of Fat Track entering Curve 1.

  • Curve 3 at 13" H
  • Curve 4 at 6.5" H

There will be 6' of Fat Track between the curves after cars leave Curve 1 and 6' and the Finish Section when the cars exit Curve 4.

Race format and scoring

This will be a points race where 3 cars race to the bottom of Tail of the Dragon, if all the cars make it down and through the Bottleneck Finish...1st gets 3pts, 2nd gets 2pts and 3rd gets 1pt...If all 3 cars don't make it down to the Bottom, then the car furthest down the track gets 1.5pts, the next gets 1pt and the car in last gets .5pts, if 2 cars Finish and the 3rd does not, the 3rd car would get .5pts if it's on the track while the 2 cars that Finished would get 3pts and 2pts respectively...if a Car falls off the track it's gets a DNF and 0pts. The cars will have 3 Runs per race with each car starting in each lane aka 1, 2 and 3 before entering the Open Fat Track. The Car with the most points after the 3 runs wins it's Group and moves on to the next stage or Pod Final. If we have a 2 way or 3 way tie after 3 runs, there will be a sudden death run with the winner advancing. Cars will be Grouped into 3 Pods, with there being 9 cars per Pod/3 Cars per Group...Groups 1-3 would make up Pod 1. Pod 1, 2 and 3 Winners will be the 3 Cars that race in the Finals/Championship.

Example of Pod and there will be 3 Pods (# represents the car):

1 vs 10 vs 19
2 vs 11 vs 23 > 10 vs 2 vs 21 > 10 - Pod 1 Winner
3 vs 12 vs 21

Just make weight and you'll be good to go, minor repairs I'll fix, but FUBAR'ed and your out/DQ'ed.

Not sure...might keep the first race "open" class and see what racers choose to attack the Dragon with the first time around.

This will be an Open Class/Racers Choice event...you, the racer get to choose what type of car you want to attack the Dragon with in this inagural race...choose wisely when facing the Dragon.

...and yes, I fully expect you and your boys to be in this race 3D :)

Sounds good I'm in

So does "Retail axles and wheels only. No premium or custom axles allowed" mean no ftes

  • Yes. Premium is anything other than standard mainline axles. — redlinederby
  • Okay...I'll have to edit that, as I consider FTE'S as retail since you could purchase them as retail. — LeagueofSpeed
  • I guess that is poorly worded. I'll have to think how to rephrase that. I was trying to generic-ize it a bit in the case of non-HW with special axles, etc. — redlinederby
  • I was thinking the sewing needles and cut wire would be customized axels — LeagueofSpeed
  • Very much so, agreed. Retail axles come premium and non-premium. Custom is custom. — redlinederby

Do "kreauto wheels" count as custom axles?

  • Well, a wheels not an axel, so the answer would be "no" — LeagueofSpeed
