New this summer is the return of the Redline Derby Track Directory. The original directory was part of the old Redline Derby Fantasy League, and was a database of tracks that were hosting league races. It was a handy resource when doing research on upcoming races.

But when the Fantasy League closed down in 2014, the track directory went offline too. The directory was a tool when it came to racing but now we've turned the directory into a showcase of tracks being made all around the world.

From 2 lanes to 8 lanes

It doesn't matter if you have a small track you race at home with family, or a pro track that is made to handle club racing, we want know about it...and you should want to show it off!

Your hard work and love for Hot Wheels racing can be an inspiration for anyone looking to get into the hobby. You can share and learn with the best.

We encourage you to take some photos of your track and tell its story. Talk about why you built it, how you built, and what you used along the way. The directory is for more than just track specs. And if you manage a club track, it's a great way to promote your organization.

We'll also be selecting directory tracks to be featured in our track spotlight section throughout the website. You'll get top billing as a track to check out.

Adding your track the directory is quick and easy. Just fill out the form and you're in.

A sample of my track. My written submission didn't go through. I have since found a new track transference.

My love of cars started about 40 + years ago. I had a scattered few and tried to race them on whatever flat surface I could. I used game boards to race a 12-18 in. track. I used a ruler to start them. the best a 6-8 yo could do. I always loved racing of all types; Cars, running, video games etc.. I put down racing for a few years bc there was no market to race and the interest was few and far between.

After i got married I needed a hoby other than video games and running. I dug out my old cars ( i still bought cars I just didnt open them to race anymore)  and decided it was time to build a race track. I had to actually utilize math and made a diagram and made measurements of the track I wanted to build. I had been buy track for a few years in anticipation of everntually building a track, so I didnt really have to put too much money into it when I eventually decided to move forward with the building process.

Accessories needed:

160 ft of track ( 4 lanes, 40ft each lane)

3D bot maker starting gate

3D bot maker finishing gate

7-8  6ft boards ( 1 board was cut to be 4ft for the support.

2 Door hinges for the support and ramp ( makes the ramp angle adjustable)

3D bot maker 4 lane connectors ( which help with the shifting track)

Popsickle sticks to use with the track on the straightaways (two side by side are a perfect fit to hold a track in place. fits into the groove.

The angle of the track is touch and Go Bc too steep an angle will cause cars to leave the track and too shallow an angle will cause randomness in the results. ( slower cars win more often.) I also race every car in each lane to prevent hot lane racing. Lane 2 might be a hotlane, so each car gets to race in lane #2. Winner of 2 races out of 4 advances. if 2 cars each win 2 races.. both advance.

I race whenever possible. Hoping to find a location to race with other people. but the fees for space rentals are quite high!
