About this track
Hi there, Kevblokey from the UK here (yes, we love diecast racing just as much as you guys!) Anyway, My dragstrip is a 1/64th scale quarter mile, four lane job, it's currently non permanent, so always takes a bit of time to set up and dismantle, which is a pain, a permanent set up is on my 'to do' list, which is always being added to! The start and finish gates come from Ariel at 3DBotmaker, I love Ariel's products, what he has done and is doing for our hobby is fantastic, with international postage and import charges, these can work out expensive, but still worth the money.
I yet to take some phots of the four lane set up (for some reason, I didn't think anyone would be interested!) But in the meantime, if you are on FB, check out my collection page and there's a couple of videos of the set up in action https://www.facebook.com/myhotwheelscollection/?ref=bookmarks
I also have the Super 6 Lane Raceway that can form the basis of many a race.
I race solo, usually 64 cars at a time to find a 'King of the Hill' who will then race against the reigning KotH to see if they can take their crown, I've been racing about three years and am currently on my 16th KotH. I only race Hot Wheels cars, all these come straight out the packet with no modifications, the results are then added to the database, what I will do with that database eventually, I have no idea, but I have fun compiling it!
I have recently purchased some vintage HW single and double curves, so will occasionally have endurance races (who can go the furthest), jump competitions and so on.
Love watching what other people are doing with their tracks, I find it all very inspirational.
Why 'JMS' Dragstrip? Josie, Micki & Samantha, three feline companions, sadly no longer with us.
