About

I started out building dioramas recreating tv and movie scenes.  Doing research on-line led me to diecast racing.I thouught it would be fun to build my own track so started collecting materials.  Needed to take a break from dioramas so one afternoon started messing with scrap wood; it took me about two days to put to put together the framework of a gravity track, four feet tall by two feet wide.  Another day and I had a basic one track up and running.  Then a few more days to get the two lane running with four downhill runs, four 180 curves and one spiral 360 turn. Track materials include Hot Wheels track, Adventure Zone track, Hot Wheels accessories, and some 3D printed parts.  Currently waiting on some more printed parts.

After the last track parts are in place, I'll wrap the runs in fake grass, hard mount the track, and add wheels to the bottom to make the whole thing mobile.

Still in the process of tweaking the track so the cars run well; so far, those adjustments are the most difficult part of building a track.
