NOt sure where Jason is on the postings and I can't remember the pecking order so I'll leave it up to him...

Cars are on there way to Iowa!

I am REALLY looking forward to having these races here on Saturday. This 50 footer is not kind to the heavier cars as the incline is only about 3 feet at the start (short compared to Jason's track). I am interested to see how the cars that push the weight limit (which I have a couple myself) actually do here compared to your track.

hello IOWA,
i like the sound of a shallow incline and long "flats"...
the red one racing track has about 30"; (1 section) incline, transfer and 200" (10 sections) of run out...tire roll and tire track are everything,
back to the drill, hacksaw and file...smitty

Pictures of the track can be seen at:

Just look under the different years for pictures that were taken.

Jason-

Where are the much anticipated results? Still under a lengthy caution for rain??

Right here brother!

My girl had also planned our move for the same weekend, So I had to stop packing boxes and the U-Haul to escape and get some racing done. She wasn't very happy about that. Either way they're both finished now And I have my Internet and cable back up and going. That was the major part of the delay. cable guy was going to be here between 10am and death.

Chad's cars all did very well and with his team taking 4th, 5th, 7th and 8th... well that's gonna be a hard one to catch, lol.

I was super happy with my win, but my rig's axle mount failure and the resulting last place finish kinda brought that into prospective

Everybody's cars looked good and they all ran well. I'm even diggin the new FTEs on Bryan's Astro Funk

Very sorry for the delay, Hopefully Chad will get me the results much faster then I got them to you this time, lol.

It's asking for a login?

yeh, whats with the log-in... it won't take any of the user / passwords that i have used on any site... i will be watching THIS site for more info... OR a site without the log in.... thanks j.b. smitty

I think Jason may have accidently set that up that way in phBB making it invisible to you until you sign up on his site with an ID and password over there. You would have to click on the register button to create a new account.

I did and got to see the team cars and the standings.

Got it...thanks.

If i dont use a log in then the site gets killed with spam posts. I've had to delete up to 30 posts per day until, I did the log in.

Sorry to say Smitty, but the series is not a part of redline derby and you'll never find the results posted here. It's just a simple log in, the same as you have to do on any site.

Spambots are a huge problem with phpBB. That happens here every now and then, it comes in spurts. However, there should be settings that let people *view* posts without being logged in and can only post if they are. I got around most of my spambot problem by requiring sign-up confirmation.

Got the downhill shipment of cars today and some of them are crazy...and heavy! One of them, the small Ferrari, had its front wheel bust off and the pin is MIA...don't know if I'll be able to repair it, might have to roll it as a trike.

Going to be a lot of racing for the series this weekend so it should be a lot of fun. I'll snap some photos and results will be over in the Texas Racing forum.
