Interesting New Years Eve race...
Disclaimer: I hope no one minds this cross post from HWC, but I thought it was relevant to what we commonly discuss here and worthy of some attention.

He's a pretty hard core racer. He came from Western Iowa to the Eastern side of the state to race with us. He has a Hoffman Stocker that was amazing on the track. He also had some red lines that he brought to race that someone walked off with--not good.
I dont agree with all the cars he picked, but most of them have a track record that means they should be there.
I won't question his selection of cars...after all, his race...his rules. But I heavy cars...33ft total length, 42" starting height, 21' angled decline w/ a 12' level run-off. I would think that many of the lighter FTEs will loose their respected races by the time they hit the run-off area with not enough level track to recover.
That does seem like a long incline. I wonder if there's anything even close to a "standard" track. Probably not. Even 33 feet seems like an odd length. I suppose you make them as long as you can with the space you have.

...and in GspeedR
The idea of making "official" guidelines for track specs has been mentioned here before. If we had a universally followed standard for track design, then comparable performance stats could be recorded.
Wheres the fun in that?

ditto worpex...if all were alike, the first race would determine season champ...but now, a 3 time loser can win the next 3 races, i think it keeps the races interesting not knowing where your cars will finish...

Smitty, I'm not suggesting that only one track design be standardized. As TLD mentioned, most folks build tracks to suit the space that they have. 'Official' specs could be flexible enough to be applied to tracks of almost any size/budget.
MY ONLY EXPERIENCE ON ORANGE TRACK IS WITH THE HARDCORE DOWNHILL SERIES 1... [5] DIFFERENT WINNERS ON [7] TRACKS.......
The results have been posted on HWC...
And as I suspected, heavy metal ruled the race with a `90s era 'Gold Medal Speed' Ferrari F40 taking the win.
I wish he would have taken the human element out of the entire bracket as he used the drag racing function where the person selects go when the light turns green.
He said he raced "several" cars on the one player mode, but doesnt note which ones and just listed the top five for the one player mode. Why not just do both based on the exact same brackets that he had?

Yea, I agree...but apparently he runs the race during a holiday party and opted for the interactivity of 2-player mode to help keep things interesting. Regardless, his track design caters to heavy cars and that's exactly what won it.
That looks like it's gonna be some good stuff.
