Back To The 80's and 90's Chevy Nostalgia Nationals

The 80s and 90s have some iconic Chevy cars, and I want to showcase them. Who does not like the Chevy Camaro or Monte Carlo, to name a few? If you grew up in this time or owned one of these cars, you know what I mean.

Rules & Restrictions

• Stock entries only
• 29 to 65g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entry per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 8/10/2024. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 8/17/2024. Results will be posted on or after that date, as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $8.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

10' dual lane dragstrip with SlanMan timing system.

Race format and scoring

This will be a 32-car event, and only the top 16 will run in the elimination rounds.
For seeding, cars will be given one time trial in each lane, and seeding will be based on the fastest to slowest times. The cars will be seeded with the premise of the two fastest cars facing off in the finals.

32 cars maximum for this event.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. The finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track or that happen to break during racing will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
