Can't win races doing this... although this car is a little under the weight max I wonder if a few grams in the nose would help it.

  • It's the Width that hurt it...928's havin trouble as well — LeagueofSpeed
  • Glad I didn't go with my fat Porsche. Now I'm worried about my Avus, it's pretty wide. — redlinederby
  • Yeah my stock 928 decided to smack the finish line...in both lanes. I'm hoping my mods have better luck!!! — Mattman213

We should get it all done today...already know we're going to make The Super Cars a Biannual event in February on Bootleg Run...we all had other castings picked out...also, loving the fact that we've got wrecks and cars breaking loose...the transitions coming into the Trestle Bridge and the Finish Straight are causing some problems for some designs...which is good...that's racing on Bootleg Run...I'd say there's already been just as many DQ's as the entire Dixie Gran Prix 2 field...us Vet's know what can happen on this track...it can getcha at the start or at the finish...to the rookies...Welcome to Bootleg Run

  • Well...... crap. Never was much of a Mopar guy anyway. — ChiefWopahoo
  • Either my cars are super slow or I faced two of the fastest cars in the tournament. Bummer, out early. — WorpeX
  • Man first catastrophic failure of the event and a big time back and forth win for our modded entries. Crazy — Mattman213
  • Bootleg Run has indoctrinated MattMan and Bruno — LeagueofSpeed
  • I'm gonna tack weld my axles in next time LOL — Mattman213
  • Meh...well, the heavier car I sent did better. Although I was up against the home team so I'll use that to make me feel better. — redlinederby

The Round of 66 was a great combo of close racing...and Soul Taker living up to it's name as the crucial finish to the Reaper's Switchback...two transition points can and have caused some of the cars to break loose...the first is as you enter the Trestle Bridge  and the second the flat finish section before the Finish Line...sometimes a car will get a little loose as it hits the Trestle Bridge...but doesn't lose it until the final drop exiting the Trestle Bridge...and at times out of control the whole way down the "Shute" aka from the Trestle Bridge to the Finish Line.

...a few things:

...we purposely do not cover the slate hearth near Soul Taker and it has taken cars out and will continue to do so.

...this Track was designed to be fair but extremely nasty and able to deliver the knock-out punch.

  • Yeah it's part of it and expected. If cars come back in perfect shape then they did well to stay on course. If they come back in pieces...oh well, part of the fun!!!! — Mattman213
  • Great racing... — madmax

  • aww man, that poor Sol-Aire!!! That thing was a beast too. If the boot doesn't get ya, G-Force will.. — WorpeX
  • Yeah we were pulling for it and knew something went way wrong at the launch of the 2nd pass. Shame :o/ — Mattman213
  • Bah...dog of a Ferrari. At least I beat myself and didn't let the Bootleg get me! Way to go to all those that advanced, good luck. — redlinederby
  • Lots of great racing and action. There are some very fast cars in this race. Not to be confused with mine though lol. — Dadvball

  • We were laughing about that last night as well! — Mattman213

That's a wrap...another battle with Bootleg Run in the books...very enjoyable race...just to many great castings to choose from...so we will revisit the Super Cars on Bootleg Run.

Congratulations 9.81 Racing! Well Done!!!!!

Well my Corvette C6R lost it’s 2nd race to Speedzilla’s Viper, who lost to 9.81’s Corvette C6. Great races though, thanks League of Speed  for hosting, it was fun to watch. Congrats to 9.81 for building 2 badass cars to make it to the finals, you’re a beast!

I only made mine 55g’s those extra 5g’s I should’ve added might have made the difference, and sanding my wheels. Sometimes it’s the little things. It’s my first race and I’m soaking it all in, hoping to get faster!

  • I dunno if 9.81 did any extra work but both of those cars look like stock FTEs, I'm not sure extra weight helped — WorpeX
  • 9.81 cars were modified...axels were removed...polished and reset...both weighed 57g — LeagueofSpeed
  • Well then, thanks for that info LoS! — WorpeX
