Build Journal: Rattlesnake Ridge Raceway

Jump to first page

We were able to get some more work done on the raceway. We finished up work on the removable backdrop. It is built from 1/4" masonite and painted with craft paint. I added the clouds with my airbrush and printed out some of the mesa's from the concept art and glued them to the backdrop. The finished product turned out pretty cool and can be removed and stored in the back of the raceway so everything is still super mobile which was one of our goals. My wife said it reminded her of the Cars ride at Disneyland... I took that as a compliment.

Here is a link to the build video for the Rattlesnake Ridge raceway for anyone who is interested.

  • Thanks. We are shooting for start posting racing content on YouTube over the next couple of weeks. — KitBashers_SpeedShop

We have started shooting race footage for our YouTube channel and have posted a couple of races. We are still trying to find a style for editing racing video's. We have done some additional work on the layout including designing, printing, and painting a logo/sign for the raceway. We have also scratch built a couple of garage buildings along the finish line/pit row.
