Freedom Funny Cars @ Flips Strip presented by LCDRL

Freedom Funny Cars will be racing at Flips Strip. We will celebrate our independence with the biggest Stock Funny Car race of the year! If you think you have the fastest Funny Car, here's your chance.

Rules & restrictions

• Stock entries only
• 80g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any lube
• Wheel Sanding ok
• No adding weight or anything to the car
• Car can not be glued shut
• Decals ok
• $5 entry fee per car
• $10 for return shipping. $25 for return shipping outside of the US.
• Cash or PayPal ONLY. No pay. No Race, Or No return shipping. I will not track you down for payment.
• Entry slip must be included with your team name and return address.
• All cars due June 20. Will not wait for ANYONE, so give yourself some extra time
• All cars will qualify
• Top 28 cars will be locked in
• The remaining cars will race for the last 4 spots
• Once all 32 cars are determined they will be placed in a bracket for the race.
• If there is any splits the fastest time will move on.
• We will do this until we have a top 3
• The plan is to put the race out on the LCDRL YouTube channel on 4th of July, but date could change

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 6/20/2025. Racing is scheduled for Friday, 7/4/2025. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10 in US $25 out of US for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. A car will move on in the bracket only when it wins two races or in the case of a split winner will be determined by fastest time. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.

Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be determined by qualifying 

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race in the first round but will not advance.

Prizes

The winner will receive a trophy.
Top 3 will receive medals, and extras.
