(FULL) Monster Mash Rally at Power-Up Pass

This October, the Power-Up Pass track transforms into something truly wicked… Welcome to the Monster Mash Rally at Power-Up Pass!
Inspired by the spirit of Halloween, this special mail-in tournament is a celebration of everything spooky, silly, and scary—brought to life through diecast racing. As a huge fan of Halloween who goes all out decorating at home, I couldn’t resist taking that same energy and channeling it into the track. Expect eerie decorations, chilling details, and a hauntingly good time as cars fly through the Power-Up Pass with a Halloween twist.
The concept is simple: any car goes—as long as it’s Halloween-themed! Bring your monsters, ghouls, vampires, pumpkins, or haunted hot rods. Whether creepy, kooky, or just flat-out strange, if it screams (or whispers) Halloween, it belongs on the track.
This rally is about more than just speed—it’s about style, imagination, and bringing together racers who share a love for Halloween and diecast racing. So send in your scariest ride, and get ready for thrills, chills, and photo finishes at the Monster Mash Rally!
Rules & restrictions
- Stock and modified entries allowed
- 65g maximum weight (50-60s tend to do best on the track)
- 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
- Limit 2 entries per household
- Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
- Any lube that DOESN'T leak
- Family-friendly driver names and decals – any offensive decals will be disqualified. Offensive driver names will be changed
- NO PUTTY WEIGHT! (Even Cured)
- Limited to 24 spots for equal heats

Dates & deadlines
All entries must be received by the host before Wednesday, 10/15/2025. Racing is scheduled for Wednesday, 10/15/2025. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.
How to enter
Include at least $8.00 (or MATCH what the cost is to send your car to me) for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Track
Racing will be on the Power-Up Pass.

A total of 97 feet of track with a total of 1550° of turning. The track is split up with 41 feet of dual lane track with a total of 450° of turning. The rest of the track is 56 feet of open track starting off with a MASSIVE 450° turn around a lava lamp followed by an addition 650° of turns. At the water fall there are two bumps called the Blooper Bouncers which may throw your character right off the edge!

Race format and scoring
Cars will race in heats of 4 racers where the top two in points (after 4 races), moves on to the next round. Cars will alternate lanes between each race.
A point is scored as follows:
1st - 5pts
2nd - 3pts
3rd - 2pts
4th - 1pt
DNF - 0 pts
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.
Bracket seeding will be random.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
