FUNNY CAR SUMMER BASH = Stock

So happy to set a date for this Funny Car Bash ! Thank You for being patient everyone. This will be released as a small series of races. First video released on August 7th , the second released on August 10th and the Final will be during the LIVE stream August 12th. 2 classes will be raced and granted a First Place each , Stock & Modified. This will be a great time at Whitehall Canyon Drag Strip !

Rules & restrictions

• Stock and modified entries allowed
• 80g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 2 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any Lube
• No coning of wheels , No wagon wheels allowed
• Any brand of funny car , Johnny Lightning , Matchbox , Hot Wheels , Kenner etc.
• Prizes for 1st place in each class will be announced soon !
• Funny Cars / Trucks or Pro Stock accepted. Try it out on a piece of track before sending to race ! I know of 1 or 2 castings too chubby for the track.
• No Pay = No Race !
• $5 per car / 2 cars per household
• Track has been updated & extended to 18 feet !

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Friday, 7/31/2026. Racing is scheduled for Friday, 8/7/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Racing will be on the Whitehall Canyon Drag Strip. View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

All cars will be given 1 warm up lap prior to racing. They will race 2 cars at a time to see which pass is Faster . The Faster vehicle in 2 laps will move on to next race.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
