This will be fun to watch 60 utes, with oversized lift kits, barrelling down the Dunes. Good point about us overseas lot. It's still taking 4+ weeks to send anything over there so we can all support our favourite builders!

Help please. I want to make sure I got the right truck. I am using: Hot Wheels 1998 SKU#18801 Mixed Signals Series -> Nissan Truck.
The chart on this page looks like I need to be 53mm, axle to axle?
When I put my cheap little calipers on axle to axle distance, I get what looks like to be about 45mm. The truck is only 3" long, is it not big enough?
When I measure the clearince from the flat table surface to the bottom of the truck, I get about 9mm, is this okay since it is way above 4mm; or am I reading the wrong area?
If I have the wrong truck, I can bow out gracefully.
- No, you're doing great! 45mm axle to axle means you need 3.40mm of clearance. Since you have 9mm you have plenty of room for added weight. Stack and glue your added weight like an upside-down hotel. You want the CG as low as you can get. If the weight lowers your clearance to 4mm, it's still greater than 3.4mm. You'll be fine. Check that the wheel width is 7mm or greater. It looks good from the picture. — GravityThrottleRacing
- The clearance chart is just a tool that tells you what your clearance minimum is based on the axle-to-axle measurement. The length limit of 4" is just a max limit. You're good so far! — GravityThrottleRacing
- One more thing... it looks like the plastic chassis includes a drive shaft angled down to the rear axle. You're welcome to cut that out in order to fit the added weight. — GravityThrottleRacing
