Attention all racers! This is for Saturday, May 17 at the Parkway Plaza Mall diecast and collectibles show. Come hang out with your family and race on the 22ft long drag strip we will be setting up. There will be 2 classes, both of them will be raced with stock cars still in their packages. Classes are as follow:
Kids:
Hot Wheels or Matchbox mainlines only. Any cool mainline car they bring is welcome although buying from the show is highly encouraged. Fantasy cars are welcome.
Parents/Adults:
Imports vs Domestics. Basically any real street car/pickup truck as long as it's American, European or JDM cars. All brands and models are welcome to race as long as it fits in the track lanes. Again, buying from the show is highly encouraged. Kids are welcome to race as well as long as they're accompanied by an adult.
Entries will be accepted from 8am to 1pm and then we race right after! For the Kids Class they'll race for free. Max amount of cars each competitor can bring to the race is 16. For the Parents/Adults class entry fee per car will be $0.50 cents. 16 car max per person as well. As stated before both classes will be raced with stock cars still in their packages. Every car will be inspected by me prior to entering the competition. There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd place for both classes!

- Well, over 98 cars entered the competition. Everyone could bring up to 16 cars per racer. Not everybody did this, but we still managed to get 5 different racers in the final 5 cars! We then drew cards to see who would get the bye run to advance to the semifinals. After that we drew again to see who would advance to the finals. The other 2 cars duked it out for the last spot. For the finals we did a best 2-out-of-3. Both cars traded wins and then we drew cards one last time for lane choice. Needless to say that last race had us on the edge! Even I felt nervous and didn't have any skin in the game haha. Fun day all around and got to introduce new people to the racing side of the hobby! — RT_Race_Technology
