Glad to know the shoebox is fairly speedy, hope it keeps going, but.. will surely be beat somewhere along the way.
That Flat Purple is still its original color along with the graphics that are on it. I did a little bit of detailing on the front and with the tail lights. I can't even remember how long I've had that car. The original wheels were neat looking white sidewalls.
The different wheels on front, well, actually they seemed to just give it a better looking stance to me. I kept the old bent and wobbly whitewalls so if there comes a time to retire it for display I'll put those back on (with straightend axels of course). Didn't mean to copy your style sinisterdog. Congrats to todays other winners !!! I'm looking forward to all the coming races. This was my first mail in, and it won't be my last, I'm gonna get in on any I can get in on.

Glad to hear you've been overcome with the same obsession as the rest of us! And don't worry about SD's style; the Charger he did that with that was actually fast for a while looked a lot different.

The first round brackets are fueling an in-house rivalry.....great stuff so far!

Glad to read that....its all about the participation. And win or lose, you're almost guaranteed to learn something new with each series.

Great work so far TLD -I can imagine with the number of entries, that this race takes a lot of prep. You being the first host, take on all the first pictures and numbering, which I'm sure you enjoy, but must also take a lot of time. So THANKS my friend!
This is by far the largest race I've been in. What's most impressive is that, from what I can tell, 26 out of the 46 entries are modified in some way -Way to go racers! This is also an FTE fest in that 37 of the 46 cars are fitted with FTE wheels.

Thanks JDC442. I've been doing a little bit at a time as the cars come in. Shoot! yesterday I thought I was gonna get a bunch of racing in, but ended up in front of the computer for what seemed like all day finishing up team photos and stuff. Today it's going to be smooth sailing!

Around 9AM here clear skies and about 20 degrees! That's gonna make for a fast track. I hope you newbies did your altitude adjustments. Tastelikedirt Raceway is about 6000 feet up in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Not all that far from Donner Pass. I don't know why they called it the Donner party, doesn't seem like much of a party to me.

Second round cars are in the staging lanes...

Well, my Aero Dynamic went up against a beast. No wonder it lost. Maybe the Ford will do better. I would like to eventually at least win a round.

I predict a lot of cars are going to lose to that big yellow Gasser.
