Thank ya! I wanted to go old school, but without any sponsor decals. Blacked out the axle ends too. I kinda like the way it came out, but I think I screwed up the weight placement. I'm getting ok making cars fast, but on open tracks I'm still at a loss as to how to make them handle. I think my driver drinks too much!

I think of diecast weight distribution as being almost the opposite of real life. In a real car, weight in the middle allows faster rotation for better cornering, like a mid-engined Lotus Elise. But for diecast cars, spinning is bad, so I have the weight spread out more. I also tend to have the weight to the front for open track so it doesn't swap ends, but to the rear for drag track so there is more gravitational potential energy. But I'm willing to be proven wrong! Similarly for open track, I keep the weight low to avoid tipping, but for drag tracks high weight is fine.

Anytime!! Qualifying is coming very. Redline makes us add a "race date" but in reality, racing is happening over a couple months time. Filming and editing these videos is quite the production. First vids coming very soon :)
