National Truck Series Non-Qualifier Tournament (Full)

This will be a tournament featuring the 36 trucks that missed the qualifying for the National Super Truck traveling series.

Rules & restrictions

  • Modified entries only
  • 60g maximum weight
  • 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
  • Limit 1 entries per household
  • Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
  • Dry lube only
  • ONLY the following castings are eligible:
    • Any Racing Champions NASCAR Truck casting
    • Any Action Racing NASCAR Truck casting
    • Any Lionel NASCAR Truck Casting
    • Hot Wheels Chevy 1500 Race Truck
    • Hot Wheels Draftinator
    • Hot Wheels Circle Trucker
    • Hot Wheels Studebaker Race Truck
  • No wheel well grinding. Same size wheels as stock required.
  • No duplicate numbers. All numbers must be requested at sign up.
  • No Sharpie numbers.

Trucks must be decaled in a NASCAR theme with a number.

Track

Racing will be on the Treetops Raceway Park (Road Course). View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

This will be a multiple method elimination tournament.

First Round will be triple-elimination round. With 6 trucks competing over 6 laps. The top three point getters will move on in the bracket. Cars will rotate positions between each lap. Points will be awarded 7-5-4-3-2-1-0.

Second Round will consist of the 18 that transferrred. This will be a quadruple elimination round. Only the top 2 from the 3 heats will move on to the finals.

Finals will be a 6 lap shootout between the 6 remaining trucks.

Bracket seeding is based on qualifying times. After the first round the top 3 trucks that did not transfer will get a provisional starting spot.

Penalties/DNF

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

A trophy will be awarded to the winner.
