Whatever you call them, Food Banks (Food Pantries, Food Shelves, etc.) are essential to fighting hunger in the USA. And, while people often give during the holiday season, the need for support is year round, so we're Racing and Raising Funds for Feeding America, an organization that supports food banks across the country.

This race will feature NASCAR-style Stock Cars as we help Feeding America Re-STOCK the shelves!

Modified and non-modified (stock) cars will race in the same division. No separate divisions for this tournament.

Rules & restrictions

  • Stock and modified entries allowed
  • 70g maximum weight
  • 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
  • Limit 4 entries per household
  • Any wheels/axle types allowed. Tubes: 0k
  • Dry lube only - Graphite Only
  • Cars must be models that have raced in NASCAR, or Hot Wheels models with the word "Stocker" in the name. Cars only. No Trucks. No IROC cars.
  • Added weight must be concealed within the car.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Sunday, 2/28/2021. Racing is scheduled to begin in Wednesday, 3/17/2021. Races will be held weekly until bracket is completed and champion is crowned.  Videos of races will be posted on Diecast Racing Report's YouTube channel and results will be posted on RedlineDerby.com

Kit Kayem LLC

Include at least $5.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back (in addition to entry fees/donations). PayPal is accepted. Please make checks payable to Kit Kayem LLC.  If you would like to donate fee directly to Feeding America, you can do so at FeedingAmerica.org, then send proof of donation along with your car(s).  Money for returning cars must go to Kit Kayem LLC, not to Feeding America.

Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

Include Psychedelic Speedway Entry Form with your cars.

Track

Racing will be on the Box Canyon Loop at Psychedelic Speedway. View track profile and specs

Race format and scoring

This tournament will have a group stage (round-robin, groups of four). Top car from each group-- and however many wild cards are needed to flesh out a standard 16 or 32 car bracket-- will advance. Subsequent (bracket) rounds will be head-to-head. Each race within the bracket will require two lap victories to continue on.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

Winner: Trophy and Bragging Rights

Everyone else: Good feelings for having made the world a better place.

Going to start working on my entries for this today, probably get them out early next week.  Recently found several loose HW all-metal stock cars in good condition at my local vintage store, just need a little TLC and some wheel swaps, and they should be some good racers.  Planning on sending a couple of those, and then a couple modded Stocker models I've been eyeing for tuning.  Thanks for hosting!

We've got our first car in!  It's from Uncle Elvis, and it's already done pretty well at Psychedelic Speedway, because it was one of the Pinks cars back in the fall!  Welcome back, Give A Hoot!

Today is one month until the deadline for cars to be here in Seattle.

Funky Mother Chickin Racin sent in this beauty. We are excited to be a part of the race.

Please send me a personal message if I'm still awaiting your car(s).  There are only two days until the deadline, and I want to make sure I have everyone accounted for.

Thanks!

Videos of the Re-STOCK-ing races will start being posted Thursday April 15th.  We've got to get the April 7th issue of DRR out first, then it's race videos all April long!

All racing is actually done.  It's all in the editing booth now.

Here's groups A & B!
