Rip N Race Rally
SO, I’ve retired and I have nothing to do and all day to do it!
II’ve noticed there are not many stock races anymore. I strongly believe that this genre must be cultivated so I have decided to start a “Rip N Race” Rally. This will require you to mail me the cars still on the blister. Please cut them down for cheaper mailing. Don’t send me blisters that have been opened and re-attached. (I will not send them back and keep them). I will draw the castings on video for bracket placement on or before race day. We will be using specific, easy to find castings to make it easy for the kiddos to find. I will take 5 castings for the remainder of this year. You may send less than the 5 if you want to be in fewer rallies. The castings are:
Carbonator, ’32 Ford,(only the '32 Ford no Vicky, Coup or Delivery), Donut Drifter, Head Gasket, and a Batmobile (ANY).
Each entry will have a Team Sponsor, Driver, & Team Home. Such as (RNR Racing, Rhett R., Shelbyville, TN)
There will be a limit of 1 casting entry per driver.
I will fill in any areas that you may leave blank. The tracks will vary from the ¼ & ½ mile, Tri-Oval & Road Course. Points will be calculated by your finishing place. If there are 5 entries then they earn 5,4,3,2,1. If there are 10 drivers then 10, 9, 8, etc. for their drivers. The winner of each rally will win all the cars from that event. So the winner of the Carbonator Rally will win all the Carbonators plus an extra car from Big Poppy Racing. This season ends with these 5 castings. At the end of the season the point winner will earn a collector car from Big Poppy’s Garage. Event videos will be posted as soon as I can get them raced and edited. I am shooting for having these 5 rallies done by year end.
I want this to be for newbies but I won’t deny entries from veterans, as you can guess I’m trying to get new racers +started.
