Spring Rally Tournament 2026 - Grampian Mountains [UK] - FULL

We’re back in the Grampian Mountains (UK) for more modified diecast racing rally action!

Rules & restrictions
- Modified entries only
- 80g maximum weight
- 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
- Limit 2 entries per household
- Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
- Use what lube you like as long as it's not drippin' on the track
- Vehicle must have a rally racing style livery & paint work, with a number (I will issue these unless you comment with an available number that you would prefer), team graphics and any brands of your choice. Nothing political or offensive
Vehicle must be one of the following models (any variant where no year or specific iteration is mentioned): Audi Quattro , BMW M1(Pro Car/Rally version), BMW M3, BMW Series 73, Datsun Bluebird Wagon (510), Ford Fiesta, Ford Focus , Ford Escort, Ford Sierra Cosworth, Honda Civic, Lancia Delta, Mini Cooper, Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32, R33, R34, R35), VW Golf
Dates & deadlines
All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 3/21/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 3/28/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.
Late entries will be unlikely to enter, unless you have contacted me beforehand. I will do my best.
How to enter
Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry. We are based in the UK. It is expensive to post internationally - please check before signing up. Typically around $20-25
No entrance fee. If anyone wants their car returned however, you would need to cover the return international shipping costs. Please contact me after the tournament if you want it back and I will check the cost, and arrange for the costs to be covered via Paypal.
Otherwise you car may be used to race in shorts on a new spool heads pop up track we are building.

Spool Heads dual lane and open track (100).
Race format and scoring
We will accept up to 26 teams. You may send 1 or 2 cars, but I only your fastest car can move forward.
Points draws will be settled by fastest lap time
Time Trials (Video 1 and 2)
The 16 fastest cars will proceed (max one per team)
Round 1 (Video 3)
All 16 cars will race (4 random groups, 4 laps)
The 8 cars with the most points will proceed to round 2.
Round 2 (Video 4)
All 8 cars will race (2 groups, 4 laps)
The 4 cars with the most points will proceed to the final.
Round 3 FINAL (Video 5)
The final 4 cars will race. The team with the most points will win. 8 laps this time.
POINTS
First place lap = 8 points
Second place lap = 6 points
Third place lap = 5 points
Last place lap = 4 points
DNF = 1 point per checkpoint crossed (up to 3)
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
