Summer race series, and stickers!

Hot night last night...at 9pm it was still in the 90's...ouch.

Good racing last night with a major upset! My long standing top racer was dethroned by a Way 2 Fast, which beat his all metal Porsche 928.

New track configuration had mixed reviews, I liked it because it mixed things up a bit. I think I'll keep it for the next couple of races and see what happens. So my track now is basically a straight slope for 18' with the last 7 feet almost flat to the finish line. It really changes the cars performance, lots of cars quick out of the gate were getting passed in the last few feet.

Had two buy in races, small wheet FTE's and hot rods.
Custom V8 Vega won the FTE race and a 32 duece won the hot rods. There was a kid there who participated in the last hot rod race. The guy who won walked over and gave him all the cars...class act!

I was bummed because there was no power outlet for my lights, I'll have to figure something else out, maybe a battery pack or run it from a power inverter on a car....next time.

Interesting to hear about the longer slope. I plan on making a long slope track for next year's league races to keep things interesting. Part of me hopes I can just adapt my existing track to become a downhill so I don't have to deal with two separate tracks.

I'll send you photos of what I did to mine. I can change it back to the old track in just a few minutes if I want.
It's hard to photograph, maybe I'll set it up in the backyard tonight to show ya.
