Race format and scoring

UPDATE: The format and scoring has been tweaked multiple times, and ended up consisting of 2 challenges: 1) Drift competition on Mesa Butte, 2) All 8 cars racing together on The Great Sand Dunes, and 3) The best of 3 races head-to-head beginning with the two lowest seeds and moving up to the highest seed.

Penalties/DNF

BD5's are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If your DB5 fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, it will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

Prizes

The winner will receive a prize pack from J and J's Treasures Diecast store here in Wichita, KS and a trophy created by one of the builders in the tournament.

Alright, scrambled, not fried!  Or something like that... thank for the invite!

  • The first time I read your comment, I totally missed the "scrambled, not fried" joke. Good one. I think "shaken, not scrambled" is perfect for this race. — GravityThrottleRacing

  • Look at that!! Thank you! — GravityThrottleRacing
  • What kind of printer? I have one and have found it very useful in this hobby (bed covers for trucks for one thing). I am in no way an expert but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to write me. — LONE_WOLF_RACING
  • Thanks! The new one is an Elegoo Mars 5... I have a couple of bed slingers... my first foray into resin! — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
  • Awesome! So you are probably better with them then me! LOL! I have a Creality K1 SE. You could probably teach me a thing or 2 instead... — LONE_WOLF_RACING
  • lol... not sure about that... still just a noob! — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
