The VW Le Mans (FULL)

We are going to race the ever popular VW brand! That's right, ANY, well almost any, VW you want to put on the track! WE want a melting pot of VW goodness on Old Rte 49! Check out the details below and let's get some racing done!

Rules & Restrictions:

VW Challenge Rules:
Most VW castings are allowed. Cars, Trucks, & Vans

Stock and modified entries allowed
60g maximum weight
3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
Limit 1 entry per person
Smoothing the wheels with light sanding is allowed, but wheel coning is not
No Custom Axles allowed
Retail/Stock Axles FTE/NPA allowed
FTE - Faster Than Ever
NPA - Nickel Plated Axles
Any secret sauce is allowed - however if the car shows up dripping wet it will be disqualified
Builds Based on real cars only
No Concepts or Fantasy vehicles
1/64th size and must fit in the standard Hot Wheels Orange track
Custom painted cars are very encouraged
Race number on the sides of your car
No inappropriate images/words on the car
Painted/Tinted windows are allowed. Please paint the inside of your windows
Chassis sanding for a flatter bottom is allowed
Minor wheel well trimming is allowed, just for clearances, not bigger wheels
Body and chassis must match their lines
No ID. R race style cars allowed

Dates & Deadlines:
All entries must be received by the host before Monday, 7/20/2026. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 7/25/2026. Results will be posted after that date and the finals video is posted.

Entry fee: Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be used for RRL promo’s, give aways, or other.

Track
Old Rte 49

Race format and scoring
Racing 4 cars at a time. Four race rounds.
First & Second advance to the next round.
The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner.
Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales. Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.

1st. 6
2nd 5
3rd 4
4th 3
5th 1
Penalties:
Finishing backwards -1
Finishing on anything other than wheels -2
Blocking a competitor from finishing -3
