Test fit ... Car 1
- Sleeeeek! — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
- That is thinking outside of the box! — BadWoolRacing
- Not trying to be the bad guy here but the rules say "wing and motor" must be in original position. This doesn't appear to have the motor... — LONE_WOLF_RACING
- That coating also appears to be the "weight" and it's certainly not "concealed" within the casting as the rules state. — GBURacing
- The rules allow for modification so long as stock size wheels are on the rear and the wing and motor remain in their original position. The rules don't expressly forbid any body modification otherwise and even clearly states the front can be trimmed if desired. Since this body has the appearance of a finished vehicle and we can't immediately say additional weight is clearly visible, this should get a pass as a legitimate modification because keeping the body stock was not specified directly and the weight is inside what you see externally. — BadWoolRacing
- The funny thing about 'rules' is no matter how simple or how complex you make them, someone will always either find a loophole or find fault within their own interpretation of them. This plays in the gray area for sure, but the builder has been in constant communication prior to and during fabrication, so this one gets a 'PASS' from me. — CraigsterSr
- As an electrical engineer in a former life every project at a specification sheet of requirements for the final design. Out of the box is always a great approach, but I have to say when the requirements in this case say something like this exact casting must be used. I find this to be in contradiction of that particular statement. — AbbyNormal
Just an FYI to our gracious host, the 50th's are the same size, they just optical illusion you when you look at them.

Count me in for one I'll try my best to make the event
Once again Boss man, the FTE's are pulling an optical illusion as well like the 50th's, but they're the same size.

Speaking for myself this has been pretty much a controlled disaster. It's about the most challenging and patience, testing build, and customization I've done so far. So as shown below, I've completed the easy work and thought I would take a picture to record that. Because I'm pretty sure the next couple of steps are gonna be potentially ridiculous. Hope y'all are doing well.
Thematic with my VW bus

Well, after an inordinate amount of profanity - gluing - and fiddling with small screws ...,. I can now present Thing 1 and Thing 2. If they do not self detonate on the first race , I'll be pleased.

Replying to a pervious post on my frist thread. " engine must be mounted in stock position " Nothing in the rules state that you cannot modify, remove or add weight, cut, sand or alter the engine. As you can see, the mounting rivet is still there. I have documented all correspondence with the race judge, making sure all work is in compliance, with in the rules.
I will always think " outside the box ". Knowledge is not cheating.
In case any of my " cars " are not allowed or illegal, I always make 2. Picture to be posted.
