I set up an 18 foot track. Starting line and finish lines need some work, but did some testing/racing. It worked out like this.

First three races were 24 different cars. Fourth race was some of the faster cars from earlier races.

Way to go TLD. I must admit that I have "track envy"! Looks like I need to stop building cars long enough to put a track together.

Very well presented, tastelikedirt. You have some nice castings in there too!

Nice, assuming you had the camera set up on a tripod or something to get the same shot everytime?

First time I set up my track I think my boys and I tested over 100 cars...it's addictive.

Thanks guys!

-Yeah, that Shadow Jet is a monster. I also ran it against some newer cars that I know are fast and it beat them too.

-I was trying to figure a presentation that would look good/interesting. That why there's different backgrounds and colors. I was also trying to get the size right to fit on the page. It's a work in progress. I'm still trying to dial it in.

-Ha! A tripod would have been a good idea. I certainly didn't utilize/be efficient with my time very well. There was a lot of walking back and forth. The photo part of the project can also be improved/dial in as well. I just had the idea (for the race/test/presentation) and wanted to get it done. Hopefully I can improve on the whole project (each time) as time goes by.

keep it up... we like watching your "homework" improve...

This is actually the first race from the day before. I had just got the track set up for the first time, and started racing. I made a mistake in the total number of cars, giving the Cobra a bye in the Semi Finals. The Bye Focal II just killed everything. The funny thing is I just bought that one a few days ago to learn how to switch out the wheels. That thing is so ugly I wasn't going to feel bad about taking it's wheels. Turns out it was the fastest car of the day. Ha! Go figure.

So of course I had to race the two most dominant cars from the two days of testing.

Who Do you think won?
