Triple Track Challenge Tooned Edition

This will be a unique event in which all the cars will run on the drag strip. Only the top 32 by time will move on to the road course. Then, only the top 16 will move to the rally course. Points will be used to determine the overall winner.

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 50g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only
• No tubed axles allowed.
• No changing the wheel size or hogging out the fenders.
• Keep all weight low and inside the car.
• No tungsten putty is allowed.
• Trimming of the front spoiler is allowed for clearance. (Some cars drag in the turns)
• No stretching allowed.
• Only these 7 castings can be used for this race.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 2/15/2025. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 3/1/2025. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Comment below that you want in, but there is no limit to total entries.

Include at least $10.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.

International entries will require $20.00 for return shipping and it must be paid through Paypal.

There will be a $5.00 entry fee for this race and will cover the prizes.

A REDLINE DERBY ENTRY ID IS REQUIRED AND SHOULD BE COMPLETE INCLUDING CONTACT INFORMATION.

Track

Race format and scoring

DRAG RACE: All cars will get 1 pass in each lane with their top time being recorded. The top 32 times will move on to the next round.

ROAD RACE: Cars will grouped into 8 groups based on their times from the drag race. This will be a 4 Lap race with cars rotating their starting position each race. Points will be awarded based on the finishing position of each lap as follows 1st - 5 points, 2nd - 3 points, 3rd - 2 points, 4th - 1 point and a DNF receiving 0 points. The top 16 will move on to the road course based on their accumulated points. Any tie breakers will use the qualifying time with the fastest moving on.

RALLY RACE: Cars will be grouped into 4 groups of 4 and will use the same scoring from the road race. However, their will be a big air bonus in effect for the finish jump that will earn 1 bonus point.

WINNER: The winner will be determined by the accumulated points with a tie breaker being settled by the qualifiying time from the drag race.

PRIZES: Prize packages will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
