I'd like to find a Jack Rabbit Special (in any condition). It was probably my favorite car in 1970!
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

In any condition? LOL Look at mine and see it was broken in half and has tape on it.
The things I did to my cars as a kid ;( I think the other one has blue pain all over it.

I went through the 'a new paint job on the Hot Wheels would be cool' at 10 years old too

Hello Preacher!
I did pick up a Hurst Old a while back and it's been sitting on my desk for a while. If you still need it, send me a PM and I'll get it in the mail to you.

.

It took several weeks, but I got my hands on one of these last night. Unfortunately, its not as quick as I thought it would be...although it isn't completely 'broken-in' and I haven't tried any graphite on it yet.

Yeah...but it looks super cool! Mine was was slow too...I personally think the problem with this car is it weight. It did well in the roll resistance test, but lacked the weight to generate speed on the big downhill track.

You're right, Preacher....I think an additional 15-20 grams would do wonders for this car.

Anybody find any of the Kroger exclusive YELLOW Camaros? I could use one or two.

Oh . . . and I want some of these:

I found out about it here: http://forums.hotwheelscollectors.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/55210875/m/2881089387/p/1
Looks like the upper management at Hot Wheels has been watching us here at Redlinederby!

Of course they have! As long as we get our checks that should be OK.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they did....RLD has become "the pulse" of diecast racing.

That's funny because I just don't hang out on other diecast forums/sites much at all to know how much credibility or even awareness people have of Redline Derby. I guess I just assume it's only famous among dozens, you guys that pour a lot of passion into racing and organizing. I guess that's poor marketing and PR on my part, huh? But if we're the "pulse" of anything it's all thanks to you guys. I just provide a nice place to play Although, historically speaking, many of my hobbies and web projects typically end up doing a really good job at bringing people together while I end up more or less observing, but I don't mind that at all. It's great fun to see it do good instead of evil.

All that being said, if Mattel wants to be a sponsor and toss us some freebies to giveaway, I wouldn't complain!

fixed

But seriously, I kinda doubt they would endorse our activities which often include "non-standard" equipment.
