The last round! The heavy favorite here being the V-16 which lined up as the first seed. Little does it realize that it was in for one hell of a difficult tournament!

Recap:
The V-16 matched an early top prospect for this tournament, the Acura HSC as its first opponent. The HSC seemed very quick in practice runs but compared to the V-16, it just didn't have what it takes. Not a surprise win for the Caddy, but in the second match-up, the Snake pulls a rather easy against another quick car - the Power Rocket. The Crowd grows anxious to see if the Snake has what it takes to stop the bling juggernaut! On the other side of the bracket, the Baja bug wins a tight race vs the Banshee, sadly giving Preacher an early loss in his first WorpeX.net tournament. The last match was rounded out by the Thomassima 3 skating by the Nitro Doorslammer in yet another close race.
In round 2, the Snake revved up to duke it out vs the V-16 and ALMOST took the very first race but was edged out by just a fender. The second race wasn't as close as the first but the result was the same. The V-16 would be in the grand finals. The Baja bug would face off against it after it took an impressive win against the Thomassima.
The grand finals was close. VERY close. Both cars could win on the top lane without much issue, but neither could get the edge to win on the bottom lane. On this track, you needed to win on BOTH in order to be declared the winner. The races were close as the match-up was with two equally matched vehicles. It was a battle of who would screw up first... and it ended up being the Baja Bug. The Cadillac V-16 took the win on the bottom lane and then wrapped up the grand finals by taking another win up top. Victory goes to the V-16!!
It took 8 tournaments, but JDC442 was able to pick-up his first win and get a car in the grand finals! He picked up three spots in the standings from this win, placing him in 3rd - tied with EconoCarl. At the top of the rankings, we now have a tie between iowastockcars and redlinederby at 20 points! The grand final is going to be close between these two as they each have two cars! More on the grand final to come...

The Chase for the championship...
With only one race remaining, only two players have a shot at taking home the crown. redlinderby are currently tied for first place at 20 points and they will have a shootout for first! Since they both have two cars in this race, the deciding factor will be one which one of the two does better! Since they both face each other in race #2, that may just be the deciding battle! Sadly, none of the other racers are able to claim enough points from this match to get them into first place, but hopefully they still enjoy the races and pick-up a few more places in the standings!

Guess i'll just give Smitty the Acura HSC, its red. Though I don't like having to choose 2 cars for this, it kinda defeats the purpose. Can't wait 2 weeks though.
