2nd Annual 1/4 Mile Race

So racing came to a close that night. In the Stock finals, Gspeed beat out the rest of the pack to claim a spot in the final two. Following race, a Lancer Evo FTE wins to claim the second spot, barely beating all of the Preacher family entrants ( I could have sworn the Camaro took it though, but we'll get to that later). In the final race, Gspeed lost to that Lancer EVO while racing in the same lane as the racer before (I have a point with this, I promise).
Afterwards the Mod Finals took place, there in a incredible comeback, the funny car goes from last to first in the straight edging out GspeedR's Challenger. In the second race, GspeedR's Challenger gets revenge and barely beats the crowd including one of my two entrants (the Pocket Bikester FTE). At which point I was very upset because I though it was much faster than my Italia 458...didnt turn out to be the case. At this point there were three Modded cars left. The host didnt want a three car final though, he wanted a head to head shoot-out. The three car line up, Gspeed's Challenger, My 458 Italia, and a Funny Car. In the first race my Italia grabs the win without much controversy. My heart lifted, a had a good shot at winning this thing! In the second race, I was practically screaming for Gspeed's car, a RLD finale would be the most amazing thing! Unfortunately, the Funny Car did what it was doing all day. Start in last, then take off in the straight, this time beating Gspeed by an entire car length.
It came down to the final two, my heart pounded as this was going to be the race of all races. Trying to defend the RLD name, and to revenge my fallen comrades, especially Gspeed's NASCAR which got robbed of a previous finale win.
When I saw my Italia in lane 2, my heart sank once more. The two rush down the track, Italia with a lead off the start trying to hold back the charging Funny Car. At the finish line the race looks to be a LEGIT tie. Turns out the Funny Car won....
Now to vent. The whole series I was checking in race track to make sure it was fair. Most things checked out, disregarding the starting line which favors high rising cars. but I dont think that effected the results. I did notice that the finish line did seem to be skewed to favor the outside lanes, especially lanes 6 and 5. Hence why I think Gspeed's NASCAR and my Italia lost their finale races in the inside lanes while both races seemed like ties.
My biggest problem was that he didn't switch the lanes after either race. He had been switching car lanes throughout the rest of the tournament but at its most crucial moment he decides not to. I mean I get how more exciting one race is compared to having two, but the prize was huge. The entrant's weren't even getting their cars back if they lost! The host should have done lane switches, but whats done is done. I congratulate the winners, but things could have ended differently.
Thats what I get for entering the Ferrari 458 Italia, its one of the most known "fast" cars and though 99% of the time its a proven winner there's always a car that can beat it.

Time for me to go have nightmares about that last race....

Waaahhh, sniff, sniff...."its not fair, its not fair...I wanted to win, I wanted to win" (on the floor kicking my feet) Ha, ha. It was a GREAT Race...I was hoping the Camaro had the guts to pull it off...but was having problems with the transmission. This has me thinking....stay tuned

Well,... they were the fastest things I could find the day I went to the store to buy them...figured two each just to see that not all cars race the same.
