HELLO g,
most posts have been of the top of the car surfaces... but under the car is where the air is compressed agaist the track... i have had two cars do well with lakester bases, the most areodynamic surface h.w. makes...
also, base angle, the inclined and slower portion of the track would be less affected by air, but after the cars flatten out and get to speed, would a gasser base, pulling air under the front of the car , lift it? less friction ?
still racing bricks smitty

HELLO G,
I THOUGH SCREAMIN' HAULER WOULD COOK...I WONDER IF THE CONCAVE TAILGATE IS CATCHING THE AIRFLOW OVER THE COCKPIT?
YOU COULD WEIGH ONE, RACE IT WITH, TIME IT, REMOVE THE GATE, ADD THE TAILGATE'S WEIGHT AND HAVE AT IT... MY TRACK ADDES REACTION TIME SO NO TEST HERE... SEE YA SMITTY- model40fan

Screamin' Hauler is hit or miss because the side mounted engines rub can rub on the sidewalls of the track.
Mine does on one side but not the other it seems.

I wouldn't think aerodymanics play much of a role at this scale and short distances.
