Stroller 1/1/15

I'm afraid I will have to postpone this tournament until I know what is going to happen with my eye.  There is another operation coming up and I don't know at this point what condition I will be in when done.  So I am postponing indefinitely.  If someone else wants to run this please do it....Use any style you want. I am waiting till my eye is all well.........Stroller and Happy New Year all you gearheads.....

Stroller, I hope everything went well if you already had your surgery, if not yet then I hope it goes well when you do.

When this race takes place may I have numbers #16 and #17, please?

Count me in on this one.  #27 and #28 please, didn't see them taken anywhere else yet. I'll be running Ford Thunderbirds in this one. Looking forward to it.

POSTED JAN 1ST '15... STROLLER POSTPONED THIS SERIES DUE TO HIS EYE SURGURY...

  • Ed: I removed this from the calendar for now. Can add back later. — redlinederby

Psst...for anyone building a car for this...from about 1994 to 1996, Racing Champions made all-metal cars, with blacked-out windows and no interiors, and with wheel wells large enough to accommodate large FTEs. Just a heads-up...

  • series on hold pending eye surgury, go roller go ! — model40fan

Hmmmmmm.... Maybe I should rip into that #43 65 Barracuda I've been holding for 15 years now.....  Nahhhhhhhhh, not until I can make a mold and cast a few dozen......it is my only one. And only 1 of 9, 999 were made. But still... Hmmmmmmmm.....

  • you know we have a bunch that would buy one, modd it and enter it in a '65 cuda only race... go CTD go ! — model40fan
  • How different are the '68 Cuda tgat Hot Wheels is currently making...it's a pretty nice looking casting — 72_Chevy_C10
  • I like the idea of an all Barracuda/Challenger race — CrzyTrkrDude
  • they've almost got all the model's/years covered — CrzyTrkrDude

1964-65 Barracuda. Based off a '63-64-65 Plymouth Valiant. Largest rear window ever produced. Too many complaints from consumers about sunburned necks, so they came out with the 'Cuda design you spoke of. Which I agree, is a great casting. If I enter this race, I'd use the '68, but,  I'll have to hog out the rear wells. It's nice, but wayyyy too narrow back there. ( same with the '65 in Raceing Champions casting.)

  • (My avatar is the headlight from a '65) — CrzyTrkrDude
  • note the offsetting of the air cleaners — model40fan
  • What would be great, is if I can find a ratty old King Cuda, and bondo up a hood on it. lol — CrzyTrkrDude
  • i found a custom barracuda casting, interior, tailpan broken off, no glass... yours if it helps... — model40fan
  • I like the look of the Custom Cuda casting. The rear wells just look good to me. SOLD! THANKS — CrzyTrkrDude
