Another Arduino-based drag strip race track

substatica Monday, 12/12/2016

Finished my Arduino-based track. A servo motor drop-out start gate, photocells pointed at infrared LED's for the finish line and 7-segment displays for the results.

Very cool, looks great. Thanks for the link...quite a write up too.

And with that setup you're ready to host a mail-in tournament, ha!

Thanks for the post.  You have yourself a very nice set-up.  Your starting gate is very cool.  Also like the pictures and details you shared, I'm going to be able to use some of your idea's.

Thanks, a lot of great documentation of other similar projects helped me along the way.

My track (at the beginning of this thread) is comprised of two alternating lengths of track. The tracks sections are affixed to the track in the center. Because of this setup I'm able to swap out a short section of track for a longer section of track and create a hill. I cut some wood for support underneath each hill and antics ensue!
