I only did the drilling and handling the lead weights.....Not too bad for 13 yo...

OK, now that I built a couple of Bugs for this race, and they are at the PO getting mailed at this very moment ( Thank you Mrs TruckerWife).
I wanted to show y'all what was to be my entry, but I just couldn't finish the build. It just took over my brain.... And said. NO! I WON'T DO IT!, sooooooo....
I gave in to it's stubbornness, and put some real riders on it... Now she is sitting all pretty ladylike on the shelf.

Was able to find 90 minutes to sit and just grind...so I did. Managed to cobble together a bug that will be shipping out next day or so. And it's sitting right at 57g so hopefully it will roll well. Goes good on my track in tests, pretty quiet, which is a good sign.

I've been thinking, since there is no race on Thanksgiving, I'll probably wrap up the series with a double header...one drag race and one open-track race! These little guys on an open track would be fun!

I'm really like Iikeing all these Beetles. I never realized how many castings there are.
'Specially liking the MBX Baha Bug mods. They look much better altered without the big sand tires.

I'm thinking that this going to be a really fun event...lots of different builds, some new faces in the mix! Yup, definitely going to be fun!
You guys can all thank Delta 6 for the suggestion to put this race together! And, just so you know, if anybody has an idea for a race (but doesn't really want to put it on themself), just shoot me a PM, and I'll try to make it work! Hey, you never know until you put it out there!
When I run the bugs here, after I run the regular race. I was thinking of running the cars as teams also, using my relay race track. Not sure how to score that. I will leave that to those that know how. Tell me what you think.

Sounds good to me, Stroller! I'll figure out the points, just be sure to run a 1st-2nd race and a 3rd-4th race...maybe both cars on the teams will get full points (5 for 1st, 4 for 2nd, etc)
