I had a really hard time getting that one. It seems that there was some guy buying up all the FTE Caddy's that came up. I had to bid at the last second to get it. Don't know if I want to try again.

There are duds out there, and you just got one of them. FTE Caddys are known for being fast, so you should try again.

I watched ebay and finally landed an FTE cadillac 16. I must have gotten a dud. It got smoked in the first round.

My V16 FTE wasn' t really fast out of the package either. My pink TH version(w/oh5s) beats it on a regular basis.

Don't give up on it yet!
Do all of the wheels spin freely? Also check for flashing between the wheels and chassis, there could be some on the wheels or the chassis. An exacto knife will remove it from the wheels and small file will get it off of the chassis. Hope this helps.

I don't think that most of the stores have recovered yet from Christmas

For the most part they do. I checked it real good, but I'll do it again. If something is rubbing, it may not do so unless it is sitting or all four wheels.

Try some repetitious runs...run it down the track over & over again...you'll build up some heat between the wheels & axles. Sometime there are tiny, hidden pieces of 'flash' that can be worn down by friction, but you'll have to get them warm to do it.

And welcome to Redlinederby Hotrainiac, and Congrats!
Judging from your signature you must be the guy that beat out GsR (microair) on the youtube race.
