Just finished mine. Tried to detampo the green one cause it was covered with monkeys and ended up just spraying the top with gloss black and added 2 coats of Future. I had to use a thinner on the tampos as nail polish remover was useless and unfortunately it took the green paint in a lot of areas.

Best thing about this casting is there are no clips holding the axle. It's held in place by the window.

Love the GT Racer. Next time try brake cleaner on the tampos, just make sure the windshield is not still in or itll be toast. Go easy, tap the wet rag with brake cleaner on the tampo and let it sit a second then lightly rub till it's gone. Some newer tampos go quick, older ones can take longer but be patient and they will go! — Mattman213
