Build Journal: New Track at Steadfast Raceway

Trying to imagine what kinda of track to build with the only free wall in my house. Probably a longer dragstrip but I am wondering if I can do more. It's 20ft long.

You're gonna be pretty pressed for space with that car there...door still gotta open! (I had a similar problem) but otherwise I think a strip is certainly your best bet. Doesn't mean you couldn't do nifty things with that strip...jumps, etc...could be a good challenge to engineer.

My wall strip was about 18-feet but it was pretty wide, could support 4 lanes. Even cut in half for 2-lanes, you're looking at 8-12" of support. It will be tight. Good luck!

Maybe some sort of Murphy fold-down track? But even then the depth of it folded might be too tight. Or are you even thinking of setting up and striking the track every time? I was assuming some sort of quasi-permanent track. — redlinederby
One detail I forgot to include is that the garage is so tight anyway that we don't get the vehicle from the wall side. We always use the passenger side and go across. The track could stay up without getting in the way. How do I get this post into the track building section of the website. When I was there I didn't see how to do it and now it's just kinda by itself lol. — SteadfastDiecastRacing
